Fith Grade, thats where it started for me. My older Brother taught me the stuff I needed to know to play in the Elementry School Band. We did a talent show with me and two girls. One Played a flute. I don't know who won, but that was my first show.

All through Jr. High and High Scool I played in all the bands, Concert Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, even The Orchistra. At lunch we had our own rock band. But I really didn't do too much until I turned 21. Thats when I started to play in Bars.

"Road Damage" was my first real Rock Band. We Played all the local bars that were around at that time. We did a studio recording, an EP that I still have. Some people like it, but I don't.

I tried out for a country band at one time. "Grey Wolf" was the name. I got the stuff down pretty easy and had a lot of solo's during that time. The crowd Loved them, but I guess I just wasn't Country enough for them and the band kicked me out.

Then I was standing in line to buy tickets to a K.I.S.S. concert and there was my old Buddy Shane. He is a Damn good Guitar Player. We decided to get a band going together. That band eventually turned into RUYN.

I have played in a lot of bands and have played in a lot of kick butt shows. I always will.

  The Begining of RUYN:

We (Shane and I) decided to put an ad in the paper and we auditioned a lot of singers. Thats when we found Cory. He answerd our ad in the paper about forming a new band. Now I have meet a lot of guitar players out there and only 3 of them have ever stood out. My high school buddy Randy Vaughn Damm, he is just like Eddie Van Halen...no lie. Then Shane Lopez, and then Cory. He can play anything. He is the best guitar player I know.

Then we met Ron. He came and auditioned for us, but he didn't like Shane and I very much. I told him he had to come back and meet Cory. After that, he was in the band and the core of Ruyn was formed. Cory came up witht he name Ruyn. I guess we whinned and cryed alot back, some more than others, and RUYN litterally Stood for "Are You Whine'in - R.U.Y.N" That is why we spell it the way we do. But Ruyn has always been about pure music and rocking the place down. Always will be.

Ron Played the bass at first because sometimes it is very hard to find a good bass player. Now I liked the band how it was, but Ron didn't want to play bass. He wanted to sing only. One night Cory walked up to Jeff York in the crowd of one of our shows and invited him to play with us. He has been with us ever since. HIs first show with us was opening up for Blues Traveler which wasnt very long after we invited him to play with us. That was Rons last show on the Bass, and Jeffs first show as our new bass player. Ron handed the Bass over to him for the last 3 songs.

Jeff is so wild man. I saw him hit his head once on one of the rafters as he was jumping around. He is so crazy sometimes. He has a lot of energy when it comes to playing music.

And that is how ruyn stayed for a very long time. We were playing constantly everywhere and enjoying a lot of sucess. We did finaly part ways with ron, and later with Shane as well. Me, Jeff, and Cory started a band called Silver Shot, And later we were in another band called JIllted. Oh man how i loved Jillted.

The 3 of us continued to play together with various other musicions from time to time. Ron eventually found his way back to us and we reformed Ruyn. This time with only Cory on the guitar. Shane wasn't able to be a part of the band at that time. Eventually We did get Shane back and we able to reform in the original RUYN BAND.

Now here we are once again with the same great lineup of musicians. Were a great band man with a lot of histroy and have had a lot of great times together. And maybee some that werent so good. But this much is for sure.... RUYN will rock you!
